OC Uptown Eats is a local seafood restaurant with tons of character. Even though the building isn't large, the food is full of flavor! *2025 update: stopped by during my trip to OC again this year and the food was still just as delicious. Fried oysters are an absolute must and just as tasty as I remembered from my visit last year
Stopped by this establishment for some lunch before leaving OC and am super glad I did. Ordered the fried oysters and the soft shell crab sandwich for takeout. The fried oysters were some of the most plump and delicious fried oysters I've ever had and the cocktail sauce that came along with it was very flavorful without overpowering the oysters. The soft shell crab sandwich with crabcake was also packed with meat. The owner was very pleasant and I could tell they care deeply about their food in conversation!

Crab sandwich platter was great, fries were crisp, homemade tartar was tasty along with the coleslaw. Ribeye cheesesteak sandwich was stacked. Crab soup was ok. The place is small so we ate in the car. Idk if the clerk was the cook or if there was someone else back there, but there was some Doctor Jeckle and Mr. Hyde bipolar discussions in the kitchen worthy of a netflix series.

The best crab cakes I have ever had! No filler, all lump crab meat, and perfectly seasoned all throughout. Owners truly care about the quality of their food and take pride in excellent service. I would give a higher rating if I could. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!
