Route 66 Diner OCMD

Family ate an early dinner here. came for the all-day breakfast and varied menu. I got an avacado blt w/egg. my wife got md crab soup and veggie pizza. daughter got french toast. son got pancakes and a side of fries.

THE GOOD:
1) BLT was amazing. perfect ratio of ingredients and the egg was just as I requested it - jammy not runny.
2) the fries were great - crispy, not floppy boardwalk-style.
3) good amount of crab in the soup!

THE BAD:
1) French toast and pancakes were very dry and flavorless. kids did not finish them.
2) server was sweet but didn't check in for drink refills. place was not busy.
3) pizza was not flavorful and the veggies were not fresh.

THE LOWDOWN:
Because my sandwich was so good I would like to go back to see how other menu items are, but I'm worried. A diner should first and foremost get pancakes right. Right?

Was headed somewhere familiar for breakfast when on a whim, I thought id try this diner. First warning should have been the smell of old grease, but I stayed and ordered the short stake of pancakes. They were very pale and dry. The sign of a good pancake is if it taste good without syrup. It the case this time. Maybe they do other diner foods better.

My food was disgusting. I got chicken and waffles and the chicken breast was burnt to a crisp with very dry stringy pieces of chicken. They gave me no syrup for my waffles and EVERYTHING was Sysco food. Nothing
homemade. Our iced coffee was boxed salted caramel cold brew from the store. Would not come back. Worst food we've had from ocean city so far.
